How Europe’s aid agencies spend their money
In a new interactive map created by the Guardian, aid, development and transparency information is shown for all European countries that are part of the OECD development assistance committee.
The map shows:
- Donor governments’ priority areas and countries in 2012, and shows how much official development assistance (ODA) they spent as a proportion of their gross national income, using OECD data.
- Donors’ transparency performance, based on how donors score in Publish What You Fund‘s aid transparency index, and whether they have signed up and published to the International Aid Transparency Initiative.
- How donors score in the latest edition of the Centre for Global Development’s commitment to development index.
