Common standard implementation & the Aid Transparency Tracker
Publish What You Fund has released an analysis of the donors’ plans to implement the Busan common standard, which sets out good practice in reporting and publishing aid data.
These implementation schedules are an important step in the aid transparency process, and will be used to monitor donors’ progress towards the goal of full implementation by 2015.
We have also built an open source application, called the Aid Transparency Tracker, to analyse the schedules. We encourage donors to treat these implementation schedules as living documents – where necessary, they should be updated and improved over the coming months.
The Aid Transparency Tracker will enable donors to visualize the analysis of the level of ambition for each individual donor that has published a schedule. As always, we welcome any further information on the specific areas needed to address in order to make further progress.
