Today in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania at the First Global Assembly for Budget Transparency, Accountability, and Participation CSO’s from recipient counties will join forces with international organisations including Greenpeace, the ONE Campaign, and the International Budget Partnership (IBP) to call for more open and accountable government budgeting.

This assembly, held in the final days before the Fourth High Level Forum in Busan (HLF-4), sends a clear and coordinated message on budget openness to governments, including a call for aid transparency urging donor agencies to make available timely, accurate and comprehensive information on the foreign aid flows, in formats that are compatible with government budget systems and processes.
