Today the Netherlands became the fifth donor to publish its aid information to the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) registry and deliver on its commitments for phase 1 of the IATI standard. They follow the UK, Hewlett Foundation, World Bank and Australia as the latest signatory to publish information. Preliminary analysis of the data suggests that the quality of the data is high.

The State Secretary also announced on 13 September the opening of http://www.minbuza.nl/opendata with the first set of spending data released, up to date to the end of the second quarter of 2011.
