Australian aid agency fifth organisation publishing to IATI
Today Australia became the fifth organisation and third major official donor to publish aid information to the International Aid Transparency Initiative registry, having released all of its aid documents to the international standard’s website. This comes after data releases by the UK, World Bank, Hewlett Foundation, and Development Initiatives Poverty Research, and sets an important precedent for more country governments to meet their aid transparency commitments before the High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness at the end of 2011.
Australia’s project level data is due to be published on the IATI registry in October this year.
