HaitiAidMap demonstrates potential of aid information
On 11th January Interaction relaunched their ‘HaitiAidMap’. The site brings transparency to the relief and recovery effort in Haiti by pulling together information on where aid money is going, and where NGOs are working.
HaitiAidMap provides up-to-date and accurate information on 77 NGOs and 491 projects operating in the country. With all this information in one place and in a common format, anyone can log on to the site and see the bigger picture.
Moreover, the ability to see timely and comprehensive information on what’s happening in Haiti means the areas in greatest need can be identified, and resources can be allocated accordingly.
The site was developed by Interaction and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Business Civil Leadership Center, and is sponsored by FedEx.
