Swedish support for aid transparency
Swedish International Development Minister, Gunilla Carlsson, has expressed strong support for the aid transparency agenda in her response to our July 28th letter urging signatories’ continued commitment to the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI).
Minister Carlsson says details of the Swedish ‘Transparency Guarantee’ will be launched with the aim of delivering full aid transparency to their citizens and partner countries. In addition, she stresses the importance of broader support for IATI, and ‘a successful launch of its new standards and registry for reporting aid spending at the Hight Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness.’
