Aid Information Challenge in the Guardian Open Platform
Today the Aid Information Challenge was featured in the Guardian Open Platform blog. Read the blog by Cormac Nolan of Publish What You Fund here and find more information about the event here . The Aid Information Challenge is taking place on April 10th in the Guardian. Places are limited and filling fast so anyone interested should register at aidinformationchallenge.eventbrite.com as soon as possible.
About the Aid Information Challenge: We are convinced that developers, data visualisers and programmers can do great things with data to increase our understanding of aid; free up data by scraping sites, make clearer what is being funded by analysing the databases we already have access to, map patterns of spending and explore how well the money is being spent. The event will test this theory. The day will be fuelled by large and small datasets from a range of organisations, caffeine, goodwill and food. This is new territory for hack days in London and we are really excited by the possibilities, but do sign up soon if you want to be involved.
