Global Financial Integrity launch G20 Transparency Campaign
Global Financial Integrity have launched a Transparency petition to be signed by 100,000 people and presented to the G20 summit in Toronto, June 2010. The principle behind it: To ‘create a transparent global financial system that is open, accountable, fair and beneficial for all.’ This includes increasing aid transparency, particularly combatting the illicit outflows of money from developing countries, which have been estimated by the World Bank at around US$1 trillion annually.
