International Budget Partnership looking for successful budget advocacy stories
The International Budget Partnership is collecting stories about successful civil society budget advocacy efforts, in preparation for the future production of a guide on budget advocacy strategies.
Particularly, stories in which civil society organizations were able to use advocacy to bring about concrete changes in the government budget process, the content of the budget, or the way in which the budget was implemented. These changes could be small or large, and could be at local or national levels. Also, the budget advocacy can focus on any sector ranging from health, education, social welfare, and infrastructure, etc.
If your organisation has a story about a successful budget advocacy campaign – or if you are familiar with cases of other organisations which have effectively used budget advocacy – please let us know. Please provide the name of the organization, a brief description of their budget advocacy work, and the change which they were able to bring about.
Thank you in advance.
