The Department for International Development (DFID) has reaffirmed its commitment to aid transparency in its 2009 White Paper.
The document reiterates DFID’s pledges to:

• lead on the International Aid Transparency Initiative;
• improve the transparency of aid flows through the availability of donors ‘publishing information of the projects they fund’;
• and revamp the DFID website with a searchable database.

Publish What You Fund welcomes DFID’s plans on aid transparency and hopes that it will also commit the resources needed to deliver on them fully.
